Participants in this bible study will learn several important lessons about humility and being humble. They will come to understand that humility is highly valued by God, who opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. They will also learn that true wisdom and understanding require humility, and that it is a key aspect of living a good and honorable life. Throughout the study, they will be challenged to put aside selfish ambition and to value others above themselves, to submit to one another and to God, and to clothe themselves in humility in all their interactions with others. As they explore these verses, they will discover that pride leads to disgrace and that it is better to be lowly in spirit than to share in the plunder of the proud. Ultimately, participants in this study will be encouraged to adopt a humble posture in all areas of their lives, knowing that this pleases God and leads to greater blessings and honor in the long run.
